Shackler’s Revenge Revealed
It’s been officially announced that a new Guns N’ Roses track called “Shackler’s Revenge” (from the upcoming Chinese Democracy album) will premiere in the video game Rock Band 2 when it’s released this September. This is great news! I’ve been (almost) religiously following the Chinese Democracy boards for over a year now, so it’s great to finally hear something like this. Surely it must mean that the album is not far behind, especially if the song is the first single from the album? I guess we’ll see about that. Here’s to hoping that Shackler’s Revenge will live up to some of the recently leaked tracks.

Max Payne Trailer
The Max Payne trailer is here and it looks pretty damn good actually. I really dig the music that’s for sure. Oh, and I had completely forgotten that Mark Wahlberg (of The Happening among other movies) star as Max. I’m not sure how I feel about that, but we’ll see. Despite the bad reputation that goes with game to movie adaptations I have faith in this project.
Based on the legendary, hard-hitting interactive video game, “Max Payne” tells the story of a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. Hell-bent on revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max (Wahlberg) is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.
Max Payne hits theatres October 17th.

GTA IV Breaks 3 Guinness World Records

It seems that GTA IV is the second coming of Jesus or something like that. The game has now officially broken 3 Guinness world records:
- Biggest Entertainment Release of All-Time
- Highest Grossing Video Game in 24 Hours
- Highest Revenue Generated by an Entertainment Product in 24 Hours
GTA IV on PS3
Looks like the PS3 version of GTA IV is kicking the Xbox 360’s ass! Based on 16 reviews it’s got a 99.6% review ratio, compared to the 360 version that has 98.7%, which is already the game out there with the highest score. When there’s 20 reviews for the PS3 version and assuming it will continue to get perfect scores, it will be no. 1. So, it looks like the PS3 version is well on it’s way to become the most critically acclaimed game on any console. Ever.
GTA IV Reviews
Well, the game that everybody’s been waiting for has been released, so I was curious to see how it’s been received. GTA IV is getting insanely positive reviews. It’s easily no. 1 on Gamerankings, which collects reviews and gives average scores based on them. GTA IV has a score of 98.5% based on 26 reviews, beating both The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (97.7%) and Super Mario Galaxy (97.3%). The game must be breathtakingly awesome. I have never seen a game getting 10/10 like that, even IGN gave it one and I think they said it was the first they’ve given in over a decade.
