AND IN THAT MOMENT, I SWEAR WE WERE INFINITE

Nighteye is a weblog written by Dennis Ihlemann, a 21-year-old design aficionado hailing from Denmark. This site is a collection of his thoughts on movies, games, music, television, technology, anime, books, design, photography, typography, life, etc. Oh, and with a bit of lolcat thrown in here and there for good measure.

Celina Ree: Live in Copenhagen

Celina Ree

Celina Ree, a Danish artist, gave a concert tonight — and I was there of course (why else would I even write this?). Well, actually it was a pretty spontaneous decision to go, so I didn’t really have any expectations going in, but I was in for a surprise. Celina seemed really nice and down to earth and the place (”Rust” located in Copenhagen) made it really intimate seeing as it’s not that big. Also, Celina is just 18 years old, which made it all even more impressive, because she has a really nice voice and seems very mature for her age.

Here’s a few of the songs (you can find the rest on my Youtube profile) that were recorded by my girlfriend (as usual):

Cinema Bizarre Live at Vega

Cinema Bizarre

Yesterday Marisa and I went to the Cinema Bizarre show in Vega, Copenhagen. I was too tired to type this, editing the picture and everything last night and far too busy uploading 18 videos that we had recorded to Youtube. I was pleasantly surprised with the show, because it’s probably the smallest place I’ve seen so far out of all the shows I’ve been to, but it’s also the loudest (lots of fangirls screaming) and definitely one of the more energetic experiences, so suffice to say that I was very happy. Cinema Bizarre did a great job, I know I was entertained throughout the entire night.

The Rise of Denmark

I recently mentioned that Denmark is the country with the happiest people in the world, but it doesn’t stop there; a reader correctly mentions in comment to the post I linked to earlier that Denmark is also the best place for business and furthermore Copenhagen (capital of Denmark) is the best city for quality of life. Wow, I had no idea I was this fortunate.

Paramore!

Paramore

CLICK TO SEE ALL 11 VIDEOS FROM THE CONCERT

So last night I went to the best concert ever. Paramore completely nailed it, I was blown away with positive energy at Pumpehuset, Copenhagen while they were playing. So many people even knew the words for songs from the first album, which was great to see, but even those who didn’t and “only” knew the words for RIOT! songs made this a very special night. Everybody seemed to have a great time and me and Marisa certainly did too! Here’s to hoping that Paramore will return soon!

Here’s some video clips me and my girlfriend recorded:

Paramore at Pumpehuset, Copenhagen

Paramore

In 10 days I’m going to see Paramore, one of my all-time favorite bands live. Their 2005 debut album All We Know Is Falling is really good and Riot! from 2007 is even better if you haven’t checked them out yet.

I can’t freaking wait! :D

Working On A Project In School

We’re about half way through a 5 week project, which is basically about getting to know our capitol (Copenhagen) even better, by picking a certain area and then create a guide (8 pages) and a website. In my group we have to create a front page for the website together and then a single page all by ourselves displaying the particular building or area we chose. Here’s what I whipped together in, like, 30 minutes or something.

Picture From Yesterday

I had completely forgotten I had taken this pic with my phone yesterday. It was in Copenhagen and it just really struck me as something weird/disgusting. But then again, I’m sure there’s someone out there who could really use a “Classic Nougat Mozart Shake”… that’s just eeeeww on so many different levels.
