		<title>Mockup: Shampoo</title>
<description> Working on my second project since beginning my life as a multimedia design student. The assignment said to create a website about shampoo targeting businesswomen. You're looking at a nearly finished product.

		<title>Mockup Design: Red Wine</title>
<description> Recently started studying multimedia design and one of the assignments entailed creating a very simple mockup design based on the 12-column grid [1] for a fictitious company. I love red wine, so that's what I went with. I'm particularly proud of the wine in the glass, as the image I used didn't have wine in it, so I had to create some in Photoshop. While not completely realistic (liquid is difficult to recreate) I think I did pretty well.

		<title>Health</title>
<description> A lot has changed in my life since I last updated this blog on a regular basis. One of the things I'm really excited about is the fact that I've introduced quite a few healthy activities. This had me wanting to do a list of what I've chosen to do to try and stay healthy every day. Some of the items on the list are not new per se, but I don't believe I've talked a lot about them here. So here it is, in reverse order counting down to my favorite healthy activity/food/drink:

10) Fish oil
I currently don't take fish oil, but I do from time to time. Not much to say here other than it's important to get your Omega-3 fatty acids, but I've recently been told that it's not that important unless you're sick. It can be quite expensive, so I tend to only take it when I have the money for it.

9) Vegatables & fruit
Some think that eating vegetables can be a chore, but I don't think so. It just depends on what vegetables you eat and how you prepare them.

I love fruit and particular the more healthy ones like blueberries, avocados and Brazilian nuts.

8) Smoothies and other healthy drinks
If I'm in the mood for smoothies I love me some Innocent and for tonics Firefly is the way to go.

7) Pilates
I'm not doing Pilates these days, but I plan to start doing it again. It feels like a mental shower. Like rebooting your system.

6) Red wine
There's nothing like a glass of red wine (preferably organic) at the end of a long day, or any day for that matter. I probably drink 5 glasses per week.

My dinner tonight: smoked salmon on top of rye bread, mushrooms, spinach leaves, bell pepper (red, my favorite and also the healthiest), Brazillian nuts and peanuts. Simple. Easy. Fresh ingredients. Just the way I like it.

5) Raw ginger
Recently started eating raw ginger every day and I love it. I used to only drink ginger tea, but it feels better simply eating it raw. It's brilliant for pain relief and digestion. While it can be quite hot, I really enjoy it.

4) Running
I've been running seriously (2-4 times on average per week) for more than a year and I couldn't be without it.

3) Green/white/yellow/oolong/pu-erh tea
A long time ago I only drank black tea once in a while, but ever since discovering such teas as green dragonwell, white silver needle, various yellow teas as well as silk/milk oolong (my favorite taste-wise) and pu-erh, which is an acquired taste I must admit, my life hasn't been the same. I know nothing better than to relax with a nice cup of tea.

2) Matcha
I'm cheating here. Matcha is actually green tea, but personally I think it's in a league of its own. Matcha is made of the entire leaf and provides much more mental stamina and is rich in anti-oxidants. It's also a good substitute for coffee.

1) Yerba maté
Yerba maté is a drink from South America that some classify as tea, but it actually comes from another plant called Ilex paraguariensis and not Camellia sinensis like tea. I love everything about yerba maté. Well, almost everything. The taste can be quite... earthy depending on the brand and if it's "sin palos" or "con palos" (without stems/with stems) or flavored with lemon or mint, etc., but I absolutely love the feeling I get from drinking it. Maté contains three xanthines: caffeine, theobromine ("food of the gods") and theophylline, which makes this drink a brilliant energizer for both your mind and body. It's everything you love about coffee, but without the negative stuff. I drink it every morning, afternoon and sometimes also in the evening and it's fantastic. It gives you such an amazing balanced energy. You'll feel more focused and at ease and I also hear it's excellent before psychical activities. It's like tea, but even better for you! I've tried the following brands so far: Cruz de Malta, Pajarito, Taragüí and Canarias and love them all in different ways. #1 for sure! </description>
