iPhone 3G in Japan

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Some people speculated that the iPhone wouldn’t do well in Japan, but Danny Choo’s blog post proves that’s not the case. At all actually! If that didn’t made you click on the link, then how about the fact that you can see Danny Choo in his infamous Stormtrooper armor (as seen in this classic […]

Fanboy in the Dictionary

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

The word “fanboy” has been added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and is described thusly:
A boy who is an enthusiastic devotee (as of comics or movies)
This reminds me of how much I’m looking forward to the movie Fanboys starring Kristen Bell (of Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Jay Baruchel (of Fetching Cody) among others.

Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds in Real Life

Friday, July 11th, 2008

This story about a woman who was attacked by birds, much like in “The Birds”, a 1963 Hitchcock classic, is just peculiar and downright scary.
The 36-year-old victim was walking along the seafront at Burnham-on-Sea, in Somerset, when the adult gull swooped and started stabbing her head with its beak.
UPDATE:
My parents just got home from […]

SOS Turns 100

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Actually the SOS signal turned 100 yesterday, but still…
It took the tragedy of the Titanic to reveal just how vital a universal system was. After the collision in April 1912, the ship’s radio operators sent out both the old CQD and the new SOS signals, but some ships in the area ignored both, […]

Mini-Me Sex Tape

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Apparently there’s also a Mini-Me (of Austin Powers) sex tape. Oh. My. God.
Yes, that’s Mini-Me Verne Troyer in a sex tape shot with his former live-in girlfriend at the couple’s apartment. A third party has snatched up the tape and although no deal has been made, we hear dealer Kevin Blatt, who brokered the […]

Lifestream.fm

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Thanks to Lifestream.fm, you’ll be able to stalk me even more. Oh, who am I kidding? Nobody wants to do that. What it basically does though, is collect everything I do on other services such as Twitter, Last.fm and so on. Exactly like the Lifestream page I once had on this blog — only […]

Portion Size, Then and Now

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

No wonder so many American are overweight. By the way, I absolutely love how the author’s latest article is called “Five Foods That Cause Anal Leakage”.
Over the past few decades, portion sizes of everything from muffins to sandwiches have grown considerably. Unfortunately, America’s waistbands have reacted accordingly. In the 1970s, around 47 percent of […]

Einstein on Religion

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

A letter in which Einstein clearly states how he feels about religion is to be auctioned this week.
The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle […]

Bad Baby

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

A friend emailed me a link to this flash animation called Bad Baby and it’ll easily be the most bizarre and/or brilliant thing both you and I encounter today. You have been warned.

Nighteye is an online journal containing random notes, thoughts and links since 2005. It’s written by Dennis Ihlemann, a 21-year-old design aficionado hailing from Denmark.
