WALL•E Seems To Be Doing Great

One of the movies I’m the most excited about this summer is definitely WALL•E. And even more so now that I’ve seen how it’s been received so far. It’s got a 93% rating on Metacritic (based on 35 reviews), 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (based on 138 reviews) and 9.3/10 on IMDb currently making it the 110th highest rated movie there.
UPDATE:
It also did well at the box office:
It tied with 2001’s “Monsters, Inc.” to become Pixar’s third-best opener. Pixar has gone to No. 1 with all nine of its movies, an unprecedented run that begin in 1995 with “Toy Story.”

Why am I not surprised?
We need more Pixar movies… that can risk going into different directions… it’s always lush backgrounds with so-so character designs - I want lushness on both.

I guess none of us should be surprised, I mean it is Pixar we’re talking about here after all.
As I haven’t watched the movie yet I can’t really comment on the character designs, but both Wall-E and Eve looked great to me?!
