Little Miss Sunshine

Little Miss Sunshine

Little Miss Sunshine (2006) is currently #181 on IMDb’s Top 250.

First things first. I can’t believe how many movies I’ve seen Steve Carell in lately! Bruce Almighty (old, I know, but I didn’t see it until the other day), Dan in Real Life, The 40 Year Old Virgin and now this. I don’t mind though, he’s a terrific actor. Anyway, I had heard to much about Little Miss Sunshine so I simply had to see what all the fuzz was about. It’s safe to say that I was not disappointed. I cared for all the characters, which is one of the most important things when watching a movie and I genuinely had a great time watching the wacky family on their road trip. Me and my girlfriend rented it and I’m not quite sure whether I’ll buy the DVD later on or not, but it was a pretty good movie that didn’t quite live up the hype, but almost. And that’s a good thing actually, because it was very hyped. But if you were to watch the movie without having heard how awesome it is beforehand (like I did) then I think you’ll enjoy it even more. And I really did too, I don’t want you to think that I was let down, because I wasn’t. Little Miss Sunshine really is a very good movie that raises some interesting issues, while being funny at the same time.
