So Episode 9 (chonologically episode 14 - the final episode!) arrived and I’m basicially satisfied with it. At first I didn’t care particularly for it, not saying I thought it was bad, but really ended up liking it by the end of the episode. And it’s the first time I feel like the title “The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya” actually makes sense, as the episode title pretty much explains everything; Someday In The Rain - it really is “just” that. It’s around December and has gotten really cold and basically Kyon is asked to go pick up a heater, which Haruhi has managed to get for free in return for another round of advertising for a local electronics store, since she said she would make a sequel to the movie they made in episode 00. I don’t know, I liked it and thought it was really down to earth and just all around good. Not better than the last few episodes, but very different from the previous 8 hectic and chaotic (in a good way of course ;-)) episodes.
Next up is episode 10 (4 chronologically), which is much talked about. Since I’ve never read the novels (which are currently being translated here) I have no idea why, but there’s supposed to be a certain scene or something. I’ll look forward to it no matter what.
